Taurus 21. Bending over and lowering her palms, a woman projects colors into the Earth.
They wondered where the colors came from, the ones that spilled from her hands. They thought maybe the stars, and wondered, did everyone have these colors? And if so, how long had we all been collecting them?
The woman watches the colors entering the earth, feels them leak from her like blood, but rather – than heavy and thick a light and airy blood of so many beautiful colors. It felt good to lose this blood, for it created an emptiness in her whose yearning drew in more starlight.
Azoth Oracle
Strong winds knowing exactly where the sailors need to go.
A magician who lived in the north incarnated himself into a wind when he died and continues to roam the Caladan Sea. And though he prefers to be free of all responsibility he also bears a deep compassion toward sailors who have lost their way in the vastness of the Caladan, and when he comes upon them will most happily guess where they wish to go and will blow them to their destination.
Irnad has learned the complicated language of his roarings and spent one long season on an island in the Caladan during which he wrote down the musings of this wind and put them into a book, though I do not remember it’s title.
