Sagittarius 16. A magician’s wand sprouting golden leaves.
(From the diaries of the alchemist Barthus Witold): “My dear friend the magician Adrarius Zend was possessed of a wand on which grew leaves of pure gold. As these leaves would proliferate he would pluck them and give them to various other magicians and alchemists who found many uses for them. He gave me one a number of years ago and I placed in in the pages of a book of formulas to preserve it. Later I found that the book had grown thicker and many new and wondrous recipes have appeared in the book
“From other such stories I have heard from other recipients of these leaves I have determined that they, like the wand of Zend cause whatever they are placed with to proliferate and grow, engendering new and marvelous variations of anything exposed to their generative power.”
