Pisces 16. A troll living under a bridge. (Omega Symbol) Manifesting/Experimental

(Degree Angel: Yeialel (YAY-a-LEL) Letting Go, Mental Force)

TITLE:  FEARLESS ACCEPTANCE OF LIFE SITUATIONS AND PATIENT EXPECTATION OF CHANGE

This degree seeks a simple, independent and often isolated existence on the periphery of human endeavors. It knows how to get along with little, and avoids complexities that might get in the way of its intensely inward focus. It has highly unique gifts and knows how to work silently and unobtrusively to make special contributions to the world – contributions that may be beyond the comprehension of others.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A peaceful child on a narrow ledge that overlooks a precipice.” This degree finds itself in limiting, confining situations, but rather than struggling against these takes an innocent, calm approach to them, often simply observing them and waiting. And often this serene attitude and attentiveness will dissolve problems that seemed at first insurmountable. The precipice could be threatening, and so could the troll under the bridge. If we wish to cross the bridge, or descend into the precipice, or remove ourselves from it, we must be sensitive to what the situation requires, to what we need to do to to make the desired transition. This degree, sub-ruled by the cautious sign of Capricorn, might be called the degree of “patient outworking.”

Pleiadian Symbol: A river of ideas and images entering our reality. The perception of hidden and/or unknown streams of knowledge and the ability to track with them, which brings enrichment to the world. This requires an innocence and fearlessness such as the child of the Chandra Symbol has.

Azoth Symbol: Someone finding new and meaningful arrangements of numbers. Working with things that were always and forever there one finds new possibilities and forms within them. This allows one to cross into new realms, once the troll of the Omega Symbol, which represents all sorts of fears, limits, biases and restrictions, is acknowledged and dealt with.

Seed degree: Libra 12.A man gathering seeds from a white morning glory. (Omega Symbol). Finding tiny grains of hope which offer us expanded consciousness in the future, we are then ready to face whatever fears we might encounter in our process of evolving.

The burning of a bough of sage. (Chandra Symbol). Purifying the atmosphere and dispersing all disharmonious thoughts we are ready to innocently and openly address current challenges.

Fulfillment degree: Capricorn 29.At dusk, a woman in a garden picking lettuce. (Omega Symbol). Having overcome whatever has obstructed our path forward we are able to emotionally refresh ourselves, rest, and take nourishment.

An architect carefully surveying old ruins. (Chandra Symbol). Simply and innocently observing the life we find ourselves in we become more and more acutely aware of the past and how it has shaped the present moment.

Oracle

Having hiked for many miles along the Iridar River I finally found a stone bridge that would allow me to cross to the other side of the waters.  I had been looking for a place narrow enough to ford, so was overjoyed when I came upon this ancient structure.

As I came close to it I saw, sleeping under it a great troll who stirred and awoke when he heard me approach.  “I suppose you’re going to prevent my crossing unless I pay you something,” I said.  “Nonsense!” said the troll, “You’ve been reading too many fairy tales.  Besides, I don’t guard the bridge, I guard the water.  Travelers boating down the river find that once their boat is under the bridge they can go no farther, for their boat no longer obeys the currents of the river but lingers, stuck, beneath the bridge.”

“And why is that?” I asked.  “Because the river is the flow of time,” he said, “which flows like the succession of moments.  I am the troll of the fears of the past and the hopes of the future, which interrupts time’s flow.  You meet me often.  Many times a day, in fact.  Now be on your way.  May you eventually forget me forever!”
