Aquarius 2. An alchemist trying to capture a spirit in a forest. (Omega Symbol) Manifesting/Sensitive

(Degree Angel: MEBAHEL (May-ba-HEL) Farewell to Arms, Truth, Liberty, and Justice)

TITLE:  THE USE OF SUBTLETY AND INTUITION IN CONTACTING THE SPIRIT REALMS AND IN PERCEIVING THE FINER ASPECTS OF REALITY

This degree is always looking for help in accomplishing whatever project in which it is currently involved, and seeks especially to enlist the support of natural forces. It understands that those forces are at work everywhere, including in each and every one of us. And so it calls out to the pure and natural energies of its fellow humans to work with them in the process of evolutionary change.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A woman strolling in a garden. She is unaware that she is being watched by elves.” The power of nature is all around us and within us, and even though we may not experience it directly we have the potential of tuning into it psychically and deriving immense knowledge and support from it. This degree is aware of the illusive nature of the forces that come together to create our world. It is seeking to contact those forces, but knows instinctively that to do so will take patience, and will require a gentle melding with those energies. By letting go of desires and agendas one can find the whole world ready and waiting to assist one’s spiritual growth.

The Omega symbol shows the more aggressive side of the degree, but alludes to the truth that even when this attempt to capture knowledge is overt, it still requires inspiration and openness to the possibilities of the moment.

Pleiadian Symbol: From a blue sky a torrent of rain suddenly begins to fall.

Azoth Symbol: Waking in the night a man realizes a solution to a problem.

Seed degree: Aries 23. A painting with countless layers of paint. (Omega Symbol). Refining, reworking and revising leads to the possibility of capturing the essence of a thing.

A bottle labeled “drink me.” (Chandra Symbol). Through being open to allowing ourselves to change we open to the possibility of entering new realms of reality.

Fulfillment degree: Taurus 26. All over the city, words on scraps of paper flowing through the sewers. (Omega Symbol). When the spirit is captured, so much mental baggage can be let go of.

Grotesque rocks in a sand garden. (Chandra Symbol). Attuning to the spirits of nature we come to appreciate how individualized and unique it is in every aspect.

Oracle

The capture of spirits by Alchemists can be quite difficult, in that sometimes even when the spirit is apprehended the alchemist remains unaware that the task has been accomplished.

The elusiveness of many spirits and the endless variety of forms which they may take, together with the swiftness and fluidity of their potential transformations means that the alchemist must be supremely clever and flexible in his approach.

Serapis has stated that the greatest and most powerful of all alchemists always shun the use of any containers for such work other than their own being.  In other words, the alchemist traps the spirit inside his own body, or I should say in one of his bodies, for the spirit may come to reside in the alchemist’s physical, mental, emotional or spiritual body, or in any one of countless others of his vehicles of manifestation.

In suchwise it is found ultimately that it is the spirit who captures the alchemist, all spirits being willing of such capture if the alchemist may find within himself the specific type of submissiveness required by each spirit.
