Phase 38. Circuitry (Chet Ayin Mem)
Angel: HAAMIAH (HE-AH-mee-YAH) Ritual and ceremony
Libra 6. On a long voyage, many icebergs encountered. (Omega Symbol) Interacting/Experimental
(Degree Angel: Mikael (MI-ka-EL) Revealing the Concealed, Political Authority and Order)
You do not operate by agendas, for you are always aware that everything is changing, and so the path ahead also changes. You sense the feelings of everyone around you, especially the emotional places of blockage and pain, and know how to move with and through these in a smooth, almost invisible manner. You have the potential of getting a tremendous amount of things accomplished, albeit usually slowly and gradually.
The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A baby with two sets of teeth.” This degree has a great desire to take in nourishment from all its relationships. It’s question is always “of what value is this encounter to me – what can I give to it, and what can I get from it?” It senses the spiritual truth that nothing comes its way that is not for the purpose of furthering its spiritual development, and so it is eager to assimilate experiences, to “chew on” them so as to get the most nutritional benefit out of them possible. It doesn’t like let go of anything until it understands it, or at least feels it has gotten something of what it needs from it.
All of this is carried out in a very innocent, open manner that will inevitably lead to the problems alluded to by the icebergs of the Omega Symbol, but which can benefit the soul tremendously.
Pleiadian Symbol: A wandering landscape searching for a canvas on which to dwell.
Azoth Symbol: At land’s end a high rock and on it a tower.
Seed degree: Gemini 6. In the far north an ancient tower carved of ice. (Omega Symbol). Going to a place of stillness and calm where we can view existence from a higher perspective gives us the energy and focus needed to thread our way through life’s difficulties and challenges.
A claw foot holding a ball. (Chandra Symbol). When we have been able to intuitively grasp the essence of knowledge in all its perfection, we next seek out ways to assimilate it so that it become a part of us. And we feel a drive to do this in such a way that we do not become one-sided in our experience of it, but are always maintaining a sense of the mystic duality of all truth.
Fulfillment degree: Virgo 16. A woman cutting the thorns off roses. (Omega Symbol). Having moved through so many difficulties and learned the art of avoiding obstructions, we feel a need to facilitate the flowering of love and to protect others from potentially dangerous influences.
A jar of camphor crystals. (Chandra Symbols). Our innocent desires to deeply assimilate experiences and to understand how everything has two sides develops in us the power to ward off all discordant influences.
It should have been a frightening experience, its dangers harrowing, but, luckily, the ship was a ghost ship.
And, since it had no schedule to maintain, it was free to stop at any and all icebergs that captured the travelers’ fancies, allowing them to disembark and sun themselves on the melting slopes, or bask in the deeps of night in moonlight, which was, in the open sea and on the bergs, at its most oceaniclly bluest.
Libra 7. The Great Wall of China making a huge shadow. (Omega Symbol) Interacting/Sensitive
(Degree Angel: Veuliah (vay-OO-lee-AH) Defying Gravity, Prosperity)
You are aware of all the limits around you as well as within you. On the one hand you are intensely concerned with maintaining your own integrity by holding out all that might try to compel you to be other than what you are. On the other hand you can become quite frustrated with the restrictions you find everywhere. Your acute awareness of all life’s edges and boundaries can make you feel inpossibly limited but it can also imbue you with the ability to relate in a highly clear and focused manner.
The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A group of old ladies gossiping excitedly.” The ladies of this symbol are talking about limits – the limits of decency, the limits imposed by social mores, about people pushing and transgressing limits, and about the limited information they have as well as the desire to have more of it. And, of course, the wall in the Omega Symbol represents a great edifice devoted to limits that is casting its shadow over everything. Relationships are all about interacting within limits. It is a testing of our limits to see where they are and maybe to push them back to make more room for ourselves. It is through encountering, assessing and working with these limits that we come to know ourselves as well as others more clearly, and, based on this, define a path forward.
Pleiadian Symbol: A baby phoenix crawling forth from the ashes of its parent.
Azoth Symbol: A pictographic inscription in a tomb.
Seed degree: Gemini 19. The Golden Fleece hanging in a garden. (Omega Symbol). Sensing deeply our own destiny, which is the attainment of enlightenment, we become acutely aware of all that restricts us, encloses us, and prevents us from achieving freedom.
Strange creatures peaking out from behind trees. (Chandra Symbol). Sensing the great variety of nature spirits living everywhere, we are stimulated to exchange information with others in the hopes of more completely understanding the hidden energies at work all around us.
Fulfillment degree: Libra 16. After many revisions, a poem is thrown away. (Omega Symbol).Understanding all the various ways we are affected by obstructions and limitations helps us to abandon, when we need to, those projects which, although we have learned from them, we no longer need to pursue. Another way of expressing this is that limitations always teach us non-attachment.
A woman: The lower half of her body is a serpent. (Chandra Symbol).
The mind’s curiosity leads it eventually into the realm of profound intuitive wisdom – a power to be respected, and which one must beware of misusing.
He walked away as the sun set, leaving the wall’s shadow behind him, knowing, as night drew on, it would eventually catch up and, overtaking him, engulf his own shadow, the two shadows growing gigantic as the merged with each other, and with the night.
The space between stars teaches us the vastness of all shadows.
Libra 8. A rare type of honey imbued with magical healing powers. (Omega Symbol) Interacting/Receptive
(Degree Angel: Yelahiah (yay-LAH-hee-YAH) Sweetening Judgment, Karmic Warrior)
Rather than seeing anything as just one thing, you are aware that in all things are many different subtle elements, in short that everything is connected to everything. And so that which we want we already have – maybe not in the exact form we want, but at least in its essence. We actually lack nothing – its all there, everything, both inside and outside us. Your emanation of this truth can subtly imbue others with an aura of peace.
The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A vast junkyard.”
When what is ugly and/or useless is discarded then one can see what is beautiful and meaningful. This degree is all about seeing what trash is, and why it is trash, as a basis of perceiving the eternal, the enduring – the Gold of the Alchemists. It is so wonderful to collect all the trash together and put it in one place, out of the way. It’s what keeps things beautiful. This is a Cancerian degree of Libra – it nurtures (Cancer) relationships (Libra) by continually removing the detritus from them so that they can be clear, and so that their best qualities can be appreciated. This is the true sweetness of the honey of the Omega Symbol, which can magically heal.
Pleiadian Symbol: Secretly a torch burns for thousands of years in the ruins of an ancient city.
Azoth Symbol: An archangel coordinating the efforts of his angelic band.
Seed Degree: Cancer 1. A potter at work. (Omega Symbol).
To contain energy so that it may be positively used, rather than allowing it to merely dissipate helps us to relate to others in a nurturing manner.
Rainbows slowly moving across a white wall. (Chandra Symbol).
To come in contact with pure beauty helps us to clear the junk from our lives, both within ourselves and in our world, so that we are no longer oppressed by what is useless and/or meaningless.
Fulfillment degree: Scorpio 16. A scientist using gravity waves to communicate with other universes. (Omega Symbol). Deeply reconnecting ourselves with the sweetness and healing power of nature grounds us in such a way that we are able to greatly expand our awareness.
Charon ferries the dead across the river Styx. (Chandra Symbol). Letting go of all we don’t need, we are ready, then, for momentous transitions.
(From the Ars Magica of Elucidus:) . . . There is a certain kind of flower whose scent causes a temporary loss of memory, so that one can never find them again, unless one has the great fortune of coming upon them by chance, which will always be in the far wilds, in places remote from human habitation. It is the pollen of these nameless flowers which yields a most potent honey, possessing vast powers of healing. For all wounds are a type of memory.
Libra 9. A healer who knows the secret of working with people’s breath. (Omega Symbol) Interacting/Responsible
(Degree Angel: Sehaliah (say-HA-lee-YAH) The Power of Prosperity, Motivation and Willfulness)
You are aware of the way sadness and addictive attachment to the past robs us of our vividly relating to the present. You are always willing to begin again, to start over, to recapture the magic of the moment. And not just for yourself – you have the capacity to communicate this movement toward joyous and refreshing release from the past to those around you.
The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A cook fixing vegetable soup from a myriad of ingredients.”
The healer of the Omega symbol works with the breath, which is one thing that affects everything. The cook makes a multi-ingredient soup, which is one thing containing many things. So many things play into relating. This degree knows that in any relationship certain ingredients must dominate. If the pepper dominates, many people will not like the soup. If the flavors are balanced, the soup is wonderful – and many enjoy it.
This degree likes to use many different topics and types of energy for the purpose of relating, and experiments with trying to find the right mix that is the most flavorful. The free coming and going of energies in this process is much like breathing, which takes in and distributes energy, and, if one is sensitive to the restrictions and limitations of the process and flows with wherever the energy seems to want to go, can be wonderfully rejuvenating.
Pleiadian Symbol: In the middle of the night three portraits converse with each other in whispers.
Azoth Symbol: A carved marble ear has washed up on the beach.
Seed degree: Cancer 13. Wind blowing through an old Pan’s pipe. (Omega Symbol).
Tuning in to the seemingly random energy flows of nature, we see that they are actually a part of us, and that simple awareness of them can magnify their harmonizing potentials.
Many voices singing different songs at the same time. (Chandra Symbol).
The myriad songs of nature, heard, can be selected from to create a mixture a nourishing food for the self.
Fulfillment degree: Sagittarius 16. A magician’s wand sprouting golden leaves. (Omega Symbol). Becoming attuned to our own flow brings new life to the magic of our being.
A man shearing sheep. (Chandra Symbol). The meeting of inner needs provides us with a basis for being able to meet outer needs.
From the Ars Magica of Elucidus:) . . . Breath is wind. It is the soul’s creation of vacuums which stirs the air, creating breath. And that which we call wind, or living air, though unseen, becomes a vehicle of existence for much else that is seen, such as mists, smokes, fogs, and the circulations of blood, which lose all movement when deprived of breath.
The greatest secret of breath is that it has a life of its own, being a faithful friend to the one who breathes, capable of performing any feat of healing and possessing powers much greater than commonly known. For breath may be sent on far journeys both inside and outside the self, to accomplish the miraculous.
Libra 10. A ginseng root in the shape of a human being. (Omega Symbol) Interacting/Inspired
(Degree Angel: Ariel (AH-ree-EL) Absolute Certainty, Perceiver and Revealer)
Rather than compartmentalizing life, you are aware of its wholeness, and of how anything and everything we encounter can heal us, if we will let it. You never relate to others in a mechanical or taken-for-granted way. You see each moment of relating to life as an experiment which can be an opening to release and liberation.
The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A hand with perfectly manicured long nails.” The ginseng root is said to be able to help the whole body, because the root is shaped like a whole body. The hand like the body, has five appendages and has on it reflex points that can help the whole body. At best we find with this degree refinement and balance – an ability to relate in a delicate and careful way. There’s strong desire here to do what is appropriate. If this is used to serve a spiritual purpose this degree can be adept at communicating an idea in such a smooth way that it is easily taken in by the other person.
Always remember that the hand is the organ of giving. If this degree allows all of its actions to grow out of the spirit of giving, it will create much good karma and find the fulfillment it seeks. If, on the other hand, the focus is on looking good and hence conforming too much to the expectations of others, it will find itself burdened with a constant undercurrent of frustration.
Pleiadian Symbol: Torrential rapids descending into an utterly still and crystal-clear lake.
Azoth Symbol: A tree suggests to a man that he use one of its branches for a walking stick.
Seed degree: Cancer 25. An invisible man yearning to feel the sun on his skin. (Omega Symbol). Being able to feel, intuitively, the purpose of life grounds us in wholeness.
A flock of penguins on an icy beach. (Chandra Symbol). Giving and receiving support in the midst of difficult circumstances extends our abilities in general to give and receive.
Fulfillment degree: Capricorn 16. An invisible skull reveals a living human brain, its surface flickering with rainbows. (Omega Symbol). Deep and complete grounding gives us an anchor that allows us to enter into higher realms in a sustained and balanced manner.
Dinosaur bones discovered while digging. (Chandra Symbol). We come to perceive that that which is seemingly refined and sophisticated has its roots in ancient and deeply primitive energies.
(From the Ars Magica of Elucidus) . . .Just as a ginseng root, humans grow in darkness, finding around themselves all the nutrients they need, though often unaware of the great extent of this truth. And like the root of ginseng they are held for a length of time in a certain place, made fast by the density around them, their souls yearning for greater freedom of movement, light, and the vastness of space, but compelled by their higher knowing to hold fast in darkness, growth always requiring a time of waiting.
And all the while in the unseen above them their leaves and flowers open to the sun, thriving and flourishing, this process being fed by that which happens to the root, in confinement, working deep in the soil.
