Capricorn 2. A painting which causes those who see it to become silent.
I am unable to tell you the name of a great masterpiece in the Museum of Peth, for it causes all those who see it to become silent, to such an extent that no historians have ever mentioned it or described it. It is a most miraculous phenomenon that a created object has the power to repel both praise and criticism. I have travelled to Peth many times to view it, and have sat before it for hours, studying its subtleties.
All I may tell you about it is that the silence it creates in the mind of the beholder seems to have the power to transfer itself to all other perceptions experienced by the one having viewed it, for many have reported that by looking at it, all facets of their world become freed (at least for a time) of words and thoughts, so that they glow, as if a new reality had been born through them.
