Aquarius 9. A medieval cathedral built on the site of an ancient pagan temple.

The great cathedral of Peth is built on top of the site of a far older religion.  And remnants of this are still in existence in a most miraculous manner, for on the holy days of that religion, in the darkest part of night one can witness priests and priestesses dressed in strange robes of a far-off time performing their rites in the Cathedral.  These denizens of antiquity are only half material, for their bodies glow, and are transparent.

It is forbidden for citizens of Peth to witness these rites, unless, of course, there is a sincere desire to take part in them.  For it is said to be disrespectful to view them if one’s sole purpose is to satiate one’s curiosity.
