Capricorn 8. A river passes through a deep, narrow canyon full of shadows.
It is said that the shadows along a certain stretch of the Iridar River are so dense between the high cliffs that loom over the river, that if one looks up in the daytime, as one passes through on a boat, one can see between the canyon walls stars shining overhead, and that if one stops along the banks and sleeps here on the shores of the river, that years might pass, even though one imagines one has taken only a short nap.
