Libra 21. The sea as still as a mirror.

The sea has been known sometimes to become completely still, remaining as clear as a mirror even in the presence of wind. This phenomenon seems to arise from the sea itself as a kind of intent which allows starlight to enter it more completely. In fact, some observers have suggested that the sea has a need for starlight as a nutrient and will still itself in this way to fulfill that need. If this be the case, it is most intriguing to wonder what might be the nature and characteristics of a sea starved of starlight. Possibly researchers will one day build a little sea to study the effects on it of starlight deprivation.
