Libra 3. A painting upside-down in a museum. No one notices the mistake.

(This actually happened. It was at the Chicago Art Institute. The painter is Edwin Dickinson  The name of the painting is “The Fossil Hunters”).

Two people, laying on a bed, each facing the other’s feet. Spectators viewed them from above.

Even short dreams can change one into a fossil, making the night last millions of years, which, in the long run can provide a far sounder sleep.

Vaguely sensing their reversal they assumed the crust of the earth had only trembled a little in its own slumber.

Such slight interruptions only serve to intensify comfort.
