Realization of the feeling of emptiness with a resulting sadness about this, but the potential of eventually becoming full and whole as the process of release continues. As the tears fall into the chasm we become empty of tears, but have created a fructifying ocean.

The tiny porcelain figures are a collection of personality types, characters from plays, novels and history, as well as mythology. People who have been, could be, might be. We’re trying to understand all the different possible types and kinds of humanity, trying to get a feeling for the limits and boundaries of consciousness – it’s coastline. What this creates in us is a rich, imaginative and endlessly inventive inner life that ultimately helps us to transcend the limits of personality as well as help others to become freed of the burden of personality by seeing themselves as denizens of a dream or fairytale.

The sensing of deeper and deeper layers of concealed energies. You thought something was empty, but then you look beyond the boundaries of its seeming emptiness and you find things secreted there. You know that precious things are stored away everywhere, and patiently and artfully and with much sleuthing you open up their hiding places to discover their contents.
