Scorpio 20: A man who carries large sacks of books with him wherever he goes. (Omega Symbol) Manifesting/Inspired (Degree Angel: MEBAHEL (May-ba-HEL) Farewell to Arms, Truth, Liberty, and Justice)

TITLE:  THE COLLECTION AND PROTECTION OF KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM

There is an accumulation of knowledge here, but can it be used? This degree needs to actualize its wisdom in the immediate world around it, rather than just passively holding what it knows. There is a tendency for the mind to become a barrier to growth and forward movement. The way out of this is to let go of what you think you know, and go spontaneously with where your instinct takes you.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A serpent wrapped around an immense egg.” So much life and wisdom in the books of the Omega Symbol, and so much of the same in the immense egg of the Chandra Symbol. And both the man of the one and the serpent of the other feel as if they have to protect this life and wisdom. Of course wisdom and truth can never be destroyed, but the forms in which they manifest can be – this is what is being protected. We might call this degree “The Guardian of Truth.” Carrying all those books is a burden, but at the right place and the right time this person will be prepared for he will be able to reach in his sacks and pull out what is needed. This is what makes all this inconvenience worth it. And when the egg is ready to hatch, the serpent will then be able to relax his coils and allow the new life to unfold and take wing.

This degree may often do things which seem impractical, or unnecessary, but it senses something others don’t sense, and need to follow these inklings and meet their requirements. Also it needs to develop the ability to go ahead and use what it has, even when it seems there isn’t much outer support for doing so.

Pleiadian Symbol: At the play’s beginning a dark and empty stage. The ability to create something out of nothing.

Azoth Symbol: The diamond shield of a mythical king of old. Powerful defense against anything which could defeat one’s purpose.

Seed degree: Scorpio 26.A witch dressed in black. Her clothes are turning white. (Omega Symbol). Moving toward the light in a grounded way that always keeps physical realities and practicalities in mind, we find ourselves tremendously prepared to help others because of the wealth of information which is ours.

A she-wolf. Her udders full of milk. (Chandra symbol). Contacting an inner primal urge to nurture others we come to realize the profound possibilities we hold within and feel a need to make sure they too are nurtured and protected.

Fulfillment degree: Taurus 20. A man performing a complicated weaving pattern from memory. (Omega Symbol). Feeding our mind with so much information we finally assimilate from it what we most need, and then use that to intuitively engage in the act of creation.

A fork in the road with a blank signpost. (Chandra Symbol). When we are deeply in tune with the wisdom of the life force we realize that it creates its own path rather than having to follow any pre-determined ones.

Oracle

Salurius Exal, professor, orator and peripetic lecturer could go nowhere without his extensive library, so invented a method of shrinking books, several larg sacks of them hauled in a cart by his donkey, in all comprising several thousand texts. Each book, now only the size of a walnut, had print so fine that it could only be read by the Idani, a race of elves known for their acute vision.

One of these beings, a certain lad named Farquar, accompanied him on his journeys wherever he went and was always ready to search for needed references of quotes, and read to Salurius or his audiences in a high-pitched and piping though nevertheless melodious and perfectly clear voice.
