TITLE: DISVOVERY OF THE WAY INWARD
This degree knows how to access all that is hidden. The question is, does it want to go there – is it ready to make the needed sacrifices to do this, to let go of its fears. It needs to give itself time and be patient. If it nags or attempts to push itself, it will only generate an inner rebellion that will slow it down.
The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “Old stone steps descending into darkness.” Here is an invitation to explore what is dark, deep and hidden. This degree has a craving to look into what has been lost or buried, and a persistent urge to visit those parts of the self which have been lost or denied. How do I explore this? Will I be safe exploring it? I feel like I don’t know where I’m going – but I know I’ve got to go there.

To cleanse them, crystals are placed in a stream. (Omega symbol). Returning from the underworld, we step back into the stream of time and find there a new, crystalline clarity.

Omega Oracle
An old tapestry, gently lifted by a breeze, revealed it: A round portal, ringed in stone opening onto a dark road leading downward. He took a box of candles with him, but when they ran out he was guided only by a faint light that came from his own eyes. Something behind them was waking and its wakefulness created a glow that drew him onward. He’d never realized that he himself was a candle, which the darkness had lit.

There are those tailless comets known as star shadows which can only be seen by seers, and which fall to earth occasionally. Some consider these star shadows predators of men, vampires who feed on curiosity, and who must be denied, while others more knowledgeable know them by the name of Heavy Angels, who carry the power to bind men to the truth. It is said that the name of the first Star Shadow was Eve.
