Capricorn 30. A crystal made in a laboratory is buried in the ground.
For centuries the wise have wondered why the gem mines of Tiru yield so many different types and kinds of minerals, all being of such high quality.
It was Irnad who finally discovered the secret. Deep in the forests near the mines live a secret and very private group of gnomes known as the Ubiquitu. These gnomes are fabulously skilled in the creation of any and all types of gems in their underground laboratories.
Being non-possessive the Uniquitu delight only in their work, and have no desire to hoard what they make. Once having fashioned their gems they are buried in the mines of Tiru so that others may discover them eventually and delight in their findings.
It was this discovery of Irnad’s that explains the seemingly inexhaustible supply of the Tiru mines, and the strange, sometimes unidentifiable stones that are occasionally brought forth from it.
