Paradas Misur had never spoken a word in his life, but used his hands to communicate with others. He had never learned the traditional sign language of Aab, but instead made up his own hand signs, his fingers moving with a beauty and fluidity that captivated all who spoke to him.
When the ones who he talked to were asked what he had said to them they all had the same reply, which could me summed up thus: “I cannot say for sure — I cannot find the words that would speak a translation of what he told me, but the ideas which he imparted I still carry within me. They are like seeds which have been buried in the ground of my being — treasures that have enriched me, and which continue to be an invisible light that illumines my days.”
