(Degree Angel: NELCHAEL (NEL-ka-EL) Eradicate Plague, Ardent Desire to Learn)
TITLE: REBIRTH OF THE SPIRIT OF MYSTERY AND WONDER
New ideas so often incorporate old ones, and are often nothing more than a new expression of what has come before. This degree realizes this, and rather than being intent on preserving the older tradition, or supporting its new manifestation, it focuses on the fostering of timeless and boundless wisdom, which it desires to embrace to matter what the outer form.
The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “Violets blooming by the barred windows of a dungeon.” This symbol is about making the best of things, about seeing spiritual beauty in whatever situation we’re in. There is a purpose to all limitations and as we come to accept both the limitations and what they have to offer us we are eventually released. It is a matter of coming to identify with the violets rather than the prisoner.
Pleiadian Symbol: A mystic symbol comes to life as a multicolored serpent. The bringing of ideas and concepts to life through merging with their creative energy.
Azoth Symbol: A rainbow is feeding its colors to a garden. The nourishing of life by linking it to pure and refined spiritual energy.
Seed degree: Cancer 17.A man’s shadow moving independently of him. (Omega Symbol). The shadow self takes on a life of its own and is always finding new forms in which to manifest.
A woman working busily at a spinning wheel. (Chandra Symbol).
Fulfillment degree: Sagittarius 26.A candle mysteriously undisturbed by wind. (Omega Symbol). Through all mutations and transformations the light remains steady.
Climbing the steps of the Pyramid of the Sun. (Chandra Symbol). Each phase of the journey carries us higher.
Oracle
The great cathedral of Peth is built on top of the site of a far older religion. And remnants of this are still in existence in a most miraculous manner, for on the holy days of that religion, in the darkest part of night one can witness priests and priestesses dressed in strange robes of a far-off time performing their rites in the Cathedral. These denizens of antiquity are only half material, for their bodies glow, and are transparent.
It is forbidden for citizens of Peth to witness these rites, unless, of course, there is a sincere desire to take part in them. For it is said to be disrespectful to view them if one’s sole purpose is to satiate one’s curiosity.
