Libra 23. A young boy leading a giant ox. (Omega Symbol) Interacting/Receptive
(Degree Angel: HARAHEL (HA-ra-HEL) Umbilical Cord, Intellectual Richness)
TITLE: THE GENTLE GUIDING AND DIRECTING OF POWER or THE ABILITY TO BRING A MAGIC LIGHTNESS TO DIFFICULT SITUATIONS
With this degree innocence must lead, and must be allowed to predominate. When there is any problem with advancing, the use of extreme subtlety and gentleness will urge the stuck place to release and hence allow for forward motion. Goodness can find its own way forward as long as it accepts itself and refuses to be distracted by advice from those who are merely projecting their own agendas onto it.
The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A tremendous boulder hovering over the ocean.” Gravity, in one context of symbolism can signify selfishness – for it draws to itself in compelling manner anything and everything. Here gravity has been transcended, we have overcome the selfish aspect of our emotions, as symbolized by the sea. There is here a wonderful lightness of being, but not the insubstantial lightness of smoke, but rather lightness with the weight of a boulder, meaning lightness that is in no way superficial. This degree has the ability to be light and airy while still accessing depth and seriousness. It is a way of relating that goes far beyond the usual and the expected.
Pleiadian Symbol: At dawn an anchorite ringing an ancient bell hanging in a tree.
Azoth Symbol: Rites held under a sacred tree.
Seed degree: Capricorn 1. A man mesmerized as he reads words glowing with light. (Omega Symbol). Tapping in to the power of spiritual truth provides us with great support for dealing gently and innocently with the physical world.
A canopy bed with curtains. (Chandra Symbol). Retreating into the comfort and safety of deep privacy we find that the silence within heals us of all burdens and heaviness.
Fulfillment degree: Aquarius 17. In the distance, a smoldering mountain. (Omega Symbol). When we deal gently with the heaviness and cumbersomeness of life we find, eventually a deep release, and are able to profoundly access creative energy.
An old woman drying herbs. (Chandra Symbol). When we take a gentle, light and non-judgmental approach to reality we find we are able to use the bountiful gifts of nature to our own advantage as well as the advantage of others.
Oracle
(From the “Natura Resplendens” of Timarus:) “The picture of a young boy leading a giant ox down a country road signifies the soul guiding the forces of the physical body. The weight and density of the ox is ponderous, and it is the nature of the ox to be stubborn, resistive and unmoving. But it perceives the sweetness and gentleness of the boy as a glowing light which it loves and is willing to follow wherever it may lead. And so the wise tell us to love our bodies, and I add to their saying by exhorting you to be cherishing also of the love that your body has for you.”
