This degree has an acute emotional awareness, and a tremendous ability to rise above engulfing feelings and the vibrations of chaos and negativity. It holds steady in the midst of turmoil and can help others to do the same. It heals through communicating a vision of the bigger of existence through observing it from spiritual heights – whether it is aware of doing this or not.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “Ground up gemstones to be used as medicine.” Pure truth and spiritual light are always there to be assimilated. The question is, how much of it can we take in. The process of assimilation is slow, especially in its early stages. This degree moves slowly, but it also move thoroughly and deeply. It is on a difficult quest to come to a perfect understand of self and universe. It may find it must do the same things over and over, each time taking in a little more understanding of their nature. But finally, the goal will be reached.

There is keenness of observation here and a vast patience. This degree is aware of powers and forces all around it, and of the great potential that lies within. It senses that being at one with the forces of nature is accomplished by allowing them to work through the self, and this happens through being accepting of what is and following faithfully the subtle promptings of creative intelligence.

The Chandra symbol for this degree is “An old woman drying herbs.” This degree works on its own, is sure of what it knows, and carries on its existence apart from the world, even though it may have to function in the midst of it. It’s intent on making positive use of what’s around it, and of being as prepared as possible for any exigency. It can be purposefully stubborn and uncompromising, for it knows that in the modern world much that is old and of great value has been lost, and is desirous of insistently preserving whatever wisdom it has become the keeper of.

This degree is aware of how so many problems are caused by the self being in the way of itself. The solution to this problem is to let go of the self, meaning to let go of biases, taken-for-granted assumptions, and all agendas. It is like hitting the “reboot” button on a computer: The self vanishes for a moment and what reappears is a fresh light, and a new sense of directions and clarity.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “An American Indian woman in a canoe. She is gathering wild rice.” The woman did not cultivate the rice: she simply gathers it from nature. This degree tunes in to what the world has to offer, and then finds a way to gather it up for the self, to make use of it for nourishment. It is intent on ways of survival that are easy and natural, and which can be shared with other people.

(Degree Angel: Lecabel (LAY-ca-BEL) Finish what you start, Intellectual Talent)

So much is always bubbling up within us, but our karma, our structure keep it down. The fantasies of the past and the future remove us from the present. This degree, though, is good at returning back to the present with a jolt and finding there the energy that is waiting to come forth, which then works like flowing water – to wear away resistance to the force of evolution.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “Loud crushing noises as a glacier moves.” Evolution is the strongest force n the universe, and when met with resistance can be slowed down, but never stopped. This degree is highly sensitive to forward movement, and can feel it happen, even if only very minutely in even the most stuck and entrenched situations. It is an encourager of movement, and supports all that is evolutionary, doing this, often, in the most subtle and hidden of ways. For those in hopeless situations in often unwittingly plays the role of a hidden angel.

Mind is seemingly invisible but is always projecting its patterns onto the reality around it, and placing filters – some heavy, some subtle – on experience. This degree is very aware of the workings of mind in itself and others, and though it may not be able to objectively express what that awareness is, it taps into the patterns it creates, and the very awareness of these patterns heals them – gradually over time, and eventually.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A fine silk thread strung across a chasm.” Even when people are extremely different in their ways of thinking and beliefs, there is always a way to communicate. This degree is a born master of subtle communication. It has the ability to psychically implant thoughts in other people, not for the purpose of having power over them, but for promoting understanding. It often plays the role of arbitrator in conflicts, and has a powerful, though often unrecognized ability to heal misunderstandings.

Pleiadian Symbol: Across darkening waters a bird carries a sealed letter in its beak.
