Phase 43. Defying Gravity (Vav Vav Lamed)

Angel: VEULIAH (vay-OO-lee-AH)

Scorpio 1. A man suspended in the air watches everything from a great height. (Omega Symbol) Manifesting/Experimental

(Degree Angel: Eyael (AY-ya-EL) Great Expectations, Transformation to the Sublime)

This degree has the ability to stand apart from the world around it and to gain from this a broader perspective and sense of the whole. The positive side of this is that the person has an invulnerable quality – they are somehow beyond the stress and discord of life. The negative side can be an inability to connect. As they learn to connect without being drug down into any lesser state, they eventually come into their power and purpose.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A tunnel through a mountain.” This degree cares not how difficult something may be – it will work to get where it’s going no matter how much effort it has to put forth. It is so very aware of all life’s obstructions, and of everything blocking its path. It also knows that everything is attainable and its desire is always to take the direct approach, even if that means having to tunnel through a mountain.

There’s such a beautiful polarity here between the Omega and Chandra symbols – in the Omega Symbol the man simply hovers over everything as a means of gaining an expanded perspective. In the Chandra Symbol he is deep in the ground. Here in the first degree of Scorpio we finds the heights and the depths – just as the eagle and snake are two different animals associated with Scorpio. It is interesting to note that the negative space of the tunnel is shaped like a snake.

This degree says, “I will not be stopped, I will go where I please, and am willing to pay the price to get to wherever I feel I need to be.

Pleiadian Symbol: Delegates from afar traversing the Avenue of Sphinxes.

Azoth Symbol: In darkness an old woman climbing a circular stairway that she has climbed countless times before.

Seed degree: Aries 8. A man journeying far north to the mouth of a river. (Omega symbol). When we get to the source of our emotions, we are elevated into a broad and expansive vision of ourselves.

A lizard dressed in blue satin and pointed shoes. (Chandra Symbol). A light but highly focused touch allows us to make our way through all obstructions and to penetrate the densities of all difficulties.

Fulfillment degree: Libra 18. Waking in the night a man feels an earthquake. (Omega Symbol). When we see the whole of things through rising above them, we then need to come back to earth and respond to the energy that is deep within.

A woman carefully counting the beans in a jar. (Chandra Symbol). The most difficult and arduous parts of our journey makes us more aware of the signs, symbols and portents along the way, for they are helping messages.

Oracle

In the uncharted lands of the far western forests there is said to be a mountain which is invisible. The alchemist Tolar Razan has recorded in his journal a week he spent climbing that peak, which, he says, is one of the highest in all the lands. He climbed it as a blind man would, waving a long stick in front of him so that he might avoid its invisible trees and unseen outcroppings of rock.

He also says that at night he found that the invisible branches of the mountain’s trees made an adequate campfire and burned just like visible wood, and with a visible fire, and that as he slept he heard invisible animals approaching to investigate him, though he was not afraid for they seemed only curious and not intent on any harm.

He has recorded that the peak’s summit, though of an extreme altitude, is temperate, the air in fact not being thin, and without the tortures of bitter cold and fierce winds that inhabit visible peaks. He says that the view from the mountain’s top was spacious in the extreme, and obscured at times by clouds above which the summit rose.

After descending the peak he explored its environs and inquired of the locals as to the name of the mountain. They told him, though, that its name was also invisible, and hence not to be pronounced.

Scorpio 2. A lighthouse is moved inland. (Omega Symbol) Manifesting/Sensitive

(Degree Angel: Habuhiah (he-bU-hee-YAH) Contacting Departed Souls, Healing)

You have an ability to steer through the most confusing and turbulent of emotional waters. You sense where limits are, and when retreat is the only safe action to take. You are drawn to helping other people, especially in exceedingly difficult situations. You are staunch and lofty and can be depended upon, for you’re aware of the power and danger of illusions.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A large stately bronze horse.” You hold on staunchly to your principles, and can be very supportive of the people whose ideas and motives harmonize with your own. You’re aware of power in all its forms and will do whatever you can to maintain your own.

If you use your power to proliferate that which is positive and beneficial to both yourself and mankind it will serve you well. If you fail to do this, though, you will eventually lose it. One of your biggest challenges is your tendency to be unbending. There are many situations in which your stubbornness may serve a positive purpose, but being rigid when you need to be flexible can create some of the greatest problems you will ever encounter.

Pleiadian Symbol: A crystal shatters releasing a cloud of dreams and memories.

Azoth Symbol: A spiritual leader carrying out a solemn public ritual which raises the vibrations of the populace.

Seed degree: Aries 20. Streets littered with many colors of confetti. (Omega Symbol). Once any celebration is over we need to attend to the work of nurturing and protecting anything which provides a vehicle for the manifestation of the spiritual light.

Fulfillment degree: Scorpio 18. Something waking for a moment in a cocoon. (Omega Symbol). When we keep our vibrations entrained on spiritual realities and seek to always be a light for others, both we and others become more and more aware of the transformations taking place within.

People holding hands around a table. One candle is burning in the middle of the table. (Chandra Symbol). Rather than allowing our strength and independence to isolate us, we eventually use it to assist us in communing with others for the sake of mutually reinforcing the manifestation of the light within.

Oracle

The Lighthouse of Zendar now stands in a vast desert. It once stood on the shore of the Gazdan Sea, which has not existed now for many thousands of years. The alchemist Tamil Razan says that under certain astrological conditions – when Cancer is in the ascendant with Moon waxing in summer, that one may ascend to the lighthouse’s top, and with the aid of a certain herbal formula of his devising which is to be smoked, gaze out on the waters of the ancient Gazdan Sea, for, as he states in his book “The Lives of Liquids,” when bodies of water die they too will often return to the earth as ghosts, the two bodies most likely to take this form being seas and pools of tears.

Scorpio 3. A mysterious food, a small piece of which will satisfy hunger for days. (Omega Symbol) Manifesting/Receptive

(Degree Angel: Rochel (ro-SHEL) Lost and Found, Restitution)

This degree possesses innate knowledge of what is needed to sustain life, versus what may be desired based on fantasies or addictive needs. There is something highly concentrated about its energy, so that what it may seem to be at first may be quite different from how it is experienced as it unfolds over time. It is hard to get to know, hard to assimilate and may be difficult to understand, but any attempts to do so are well worth the effort, for it has much of value to offer.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “Pigs being fed.” We associate pigs with gluttony and over-eating. The Symbol does not say how much they are being fed. Are they being stuffed with as much food as they can possibly hold, or are they being fed a healthy amount? Scorpio is the sign of desire, and over-eating is often an attempt to fulfill oneself when one has been starved or denied in other areas. At its best this degree revels in what is taken in, be it love, a beautiful painting, a sunset, or a bowl of macaroni and cheese. If, though, it is not in deep and sincere touch with its true desires, it may binge chronically in an attempt to get something it never quite gets.

Pleiadian Symbol: Workers without any plans are building a labyrinth.

Azoth Symbol: Alchemists sharing, integrating and refining their formulae.

Rose petals scattered on a path. (Chandra Symbol). When we allow ourselves to be satiated we are than able to see the love that is everywhere to be found along our way.

Oracle

The cakes produced by a certain baker/alchemist of Aab who wishes to remain anonymous are able to satisfy hunger for many days. These cakes are round, about the size of peas and dissolve quickly in the mouth. Travellers who have consumed these say that each one bears a different taste, and that in fact the taste unfolds in the mouth over several days as it continues to change, sometimes seeming like fruits or boiled roots or various herbs or other culinary ingredients.

It is also noted that the effects of these cakes is cumulative, for a certain woman of great age who consumed them for many years in her extensive wanderings has now been without food for three decades, the tastes that still to this day appear and disappear in her mouth, she says, having become a great source of wonder and delight.

Scorpio 4. An albino woman unaffected by the rays of the Sun. (Omega Symbol) Manifesting/Responsible

(Degree Angel: Jabamiah (ya-BA-mee-YAH) Recognizing Design Beneath Disorder, Alchemy, Transformation)

There is an ability here to repel any and energies coming from outside. In short, the person can be almost impervious to influence. They have a staunch integrity that refuses to be impressed or compelled even by the strongest of powers. They do not buy into what seems to be, for they have the capacity to see beyond appearances into the spiritual reality of things.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A loud roar as a tornado approaches.” The loud roar gives one time to take cover or run away from the tornado. This degree is aware of mental obsessions, compulsions and other consuming forms of negativity, and because it has an internal advanced warning system it instinctively will circumvent becoming involved in many forms of chaos and destructiveness. It knows that sometimes turbulence must be waited out and allowed to dissipate.

It is as unaffected by the mental mind-wind as the albino woman is unaffected by the scorching rays of the Sun. This ability to repel discord can help to set an atmospheric tone that helps others to not fall prey to their own raging mental vortexes.

Pleiadian Symbol: A nude woman holding a candle around which dances a moth.

Azoth Symbol: Sailors approach a lush island that has been calling to them but which is not on their maps.

Seed degree:Taurus 14. A woman making her way to the center of a labyrinth. (Omega Symbol). Finding the center within we attune to the higher light of pure love and tune out the lesser love, which is solely selfish.

Fulfillment degree:Capricorn 18. A forgotten painting stored in a vault. (Omega Symbol). Detaching ourselves from the force of selfishness, we find within treasures that we have forgotten.

A black leopard with green eyes. (Chandra symbol). The conflicts and chaos that the mind can produce, when overcome, allows us to get in touch with our primal desires and find a way to constructively channel them.

Oracle

The alchemist Piaro Lambeth once generated an homunculus who from birth had been fed only dew collected during the full moon and melons picked only at night and preserved after picking from the rays of the sun. He gave her the name Lunadoria, and she lived her early life in the grotto beneath Lambeth’s house where visitors often came to hear her oracles, which she murmured in some unknown tongue. And even though the visitors never understood the strange words of her pronoucements they found that days later they would dream a clear and vivid answer to their question, which they attributed to the power that her words carried.

One day she asked to leave the grotto and Lambeth consented, feeling that her desire was a sign of her maturing. When she emerged it was noted that even during the day she could not see the sun, and that no matter how much her snow white skin was exposed to sunlight it never showed any signs of burning. And so she wandered the woodlands and the streets of Peth, where she offered her pronouncements to anyone who questioned her.

Being now over 200 years old she appears to have aged in no manner.

Scorpio 5. A sculptor creating large, fragile works of art out of paper.(Omega Symbol) Manifesting/Inspired

(Degree Angel: Haiyael (HA-ee-ya-EL) Prophecy and Parallel Universes, Divine Warrior/Weaponry)

This degree is intent on expressing its creativity without any concern for how it will be received or interpreted. It goes its own way and plays with energies in an uninhibited fashion that is free of tradition, constraints and formal rules. The message is communicates is that all passes and that time and change are not to be feared, but rather savored in the moment..

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “An Egyptian queen with a braided beard” With her beard she is trying to gain credibility and authority by taking on the symbol of power, just as the sculptor cares so little for credibility that he creates works of art in a virtually unmarketable media. This degree realizes the unreasoning and narrow biases of society, and is willing on the one hand to to work within those to achieve its ends, or, when it feels it can afford the price, to ignore societies limited framework and strike out on its own.

At best this degree brings greater self awareness to others and to the world at large. It is an adept and aware social critic, though the medicine it offers society may not be readily taken. It also has a magical ability to inspire confidence in others – confidence that they can be themselves, and that they can effectively cope with the restrictions that society places on them.

Pleiadian Symbol: Sharp rocks splashed, dripping with sea spray.

Azoth Symbol: Many precious objects being heaped on an altar.

Seed degree: Taurus 26. All over the city, words on scraps of paper floating through the sewers. (Omega Symbol). Experiencing all the waste and junk around us, we seek a way to make something positively creative and meaningful out of it.

Fulfillment degree: Aquarius 18. A cloud in the middle of an empty sky has lost its way. (Omega Symbol). Allowing whatever we create to be of the moment, and not worrying about whether it will endure, we realize that even if we and what we make evaporate, we will simply reincarnate in another form – in fact in just the form that we need to progress us.

An American Indian woman in a canoe. She is gathering wild rice. (Chandra Symbol). Empowered by our own feminine wisdom we seek in nature that which will nourish both ourselves and others.

Oracle

In 4197 the sculptor Synosrap Relt finished his 11 year project of creating the 7 story tower made of paper known as the Obelisk of Sandar, which still stands today, after 700 years, in the Grand Park on the outskirts of the city of Peth. It is amazing in its scuptural details and origamic virtuosity, and is said to have more than 1000 gargoyles made solely of folds covering its surface.

The alchemist Tonar Rason, shortly after the tower was erected, enveloped the area in which it stands with several spells – formulas to prevent the stirring of any air, others to make the tower itself impervious to rain, and others to maintain a steady and mild atmosphere surrounding it. To this day the spells still hold and the tower is visited every year by thousands, though none could ascend it due to its extreme fragility until the year 4269 in which the alchemist Durad Ramas installed at its entrance a magic stone of his making, which, if kissed, would render most visitors light as a feather for several hours and hence allow them to ascend the tower, in which they could admire its elegant spiral staircase, elaborate system of vaulting, and rooms in which Relt had placed some of his most inspired sculptures, the most famous being his “War of the Butterflies.”
