Phase 28. Soul Mate (Shin Aleph Hey)

Angel: Seheiah (say-HAY-ee-YAH) Longevity
Releases body and mind from negative emotions

Leo 16. An angel appears to lost travelers and shows them the right direction. (Omega Symbol) Manifesting/Experimental

(Degree Angel: Mehiel (MAY-hee-EL) Casting Yourself in a Favorable Light, Vivification, invigoration, enlivenment)

You have the ability to find your way to goals by listening to your inner voice, and are sensitive to the omens and portents you find along the way. You’re at your best when you take spontaneous actions and then find your way as you go. You are aware of stuck places in other people, often when they themselves aren’t. You know how to overcome these, and even if this is not completely possible, you know how to at least loosen them up so that more life energy can come through.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A red-faced man, tears running down his cheeks. He is laughing convulsively.” This is a symbol of startling realizations that come so suddenly or unexpectedly that they shock the being into a release of pent-up energy. When the time is ripe clearings and openings happen spontaneously, and they can be a great joy, just as the travelers of the Omega Symbol experience a blissful relief. This degree knows that help is always near, no matter how bleak or hopeless things may look. All that is required is patience and receptivity, and most especially a letting down of the barriers that limiting expectations create.

Pleiadian Symbol: Sunlight glittering on falling rain.

Azoth Symbol: A messenger delivers an unexpected gift.

Seed degree: Libra 5. A flag pole with no flag. (Omega symbol). Clearing away biases and limiting allegiances makes way for help and inspiration coming to one to point the direction forward.

A man raising a crop of marijuana. (Chandra Symbol). Fostering happiness and openness in onesself and others triggers the release of pent-up energies.

Fulfillment degree: Cancer 12. A diamond light enough to float. (Omega Symbol). Receiving and following guidance from higher forces imbues us increasingly with a lightness of being.

Carefully a surgeon begins the dissection of a corpse. (Chandra Symbol). Once all pent-up, chaotic energy has been released we come into the patience and focus needed to look deeply into the nature of things.

The dusk was growing, and a lady’s dress was catching on branches and tearing at times as she walked. The child was weeping and hungry, the knight stoic but fearful behind his mask of calm. Their burdens grew heavier as they trudged uncertainly, the forest gradually darkening.

The witch had told them to beware this forest, for when dark came, those who became lost within it must never stop, for hapless travelers who fell asleep here were turned into trees. Hence the old saying, “You are either a part of the journey or part of the forest.”

And then one of them who walked ahead of the others saw in the distance a faint glow, a soft brightness that hovered amidst the trees, and all of them quickened their steps for fear that they might lose sight of it. Soon they reached the edge of the forest, and there, across a small meadow could just be seen, in the last fading light, the place they sought.

The next day none of them remembered the glow that had led them out of the forest, for it is of the nature of angels that they live in moments, being too vast to inhabit memory.

Leo 17. A giant squid sleeping in the ocean depths (Omega Symbol). Manifesting/Sensitive

(Degree Angel: Damabiah (da-MA-bee-YAH) Fear of God, Fountain of Wisdom)

You need to go your own way and be your own person. Retreating into your interior life strengthens and nourishes you. You need to let go of feelings of alienation and embrace your uniqueness, which can be quite extreme. You have a tremendous amount to offer the world, but you need to find your own way to give it, and it needs to be given on your terms, not the world’s.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “Elegant black ladies sitting on a porch and fanning themselves.” The stately quality of this symbol seems like an exact opposite to the primal creature of the Omega Symbol. But within the black ladies lurk the mysterious and eternal female – the cosmic mother. They are hidden in the culture of their elegance just as the giant squid is hidden in the ocean depths. Refinement is their element, just as the sea is its element.

This symbol is about seeing through and beyond the outer. It is about returning to the true and real core of self, while being able to navigate the superficialities and trivialities of social, political and cultural realms. The giant squid is in its own domain, where it can be itself and thrive. The ladies may be in a difficult and hostile environment, but they carry their own domain and power within them and stay in tune with it, in spite of all outer appearances.

Pleiadian Symbol: Elaborate polyphonic music which seems to come from many different places at once.

A very bored woman who is listening but falling asleep. (Chandra Symbol). Needing to retreat from the demands and compulsions of the outer world we

Fulfillment degree: Leo 12. In the basement of a house a secret escape tunnel. (Omega symbol). Yearning for those deep interior spaces where one can fully be oneself, one seeks out means of being able to get away, when needed, from the routines and restrictions of mundane existence.

The mouth of the amazon River. (Chandra Symbol). We affirm the beauty of our own natures, but for the sake of being separate, but as a means, ultimately of merging with the universal consciousness.

To dream deep, under countless tons of water, under storms raging above, to dream through silent earthquakes which moved through him like a caress. And occasionally to feel a shipwreck brush by him, sinking to the floor of the sea like a leaf dying in autumn.

He was grateful for the few moonbeams persistent enough to make the journey to his home, and welcomed the dreams of those above who, wandering, sometimes found their way to him in the night. All in all, to lead the mythological life was an extremely quiet joy.

Leo 18. A man walks into the pages of a novel. (Omega Symbol) Manifesting/Receptive

(Degree Angel: Manakel (MA-na-KEL) Accountability, Knowledge of Good and Evil)

You have the ability to mold yourself to any given reality, and this ability to relate and interact with vibrancy in all sorts of contexts means that you are a go-between between different groups and different ways of living and feeling. You take on and reflect your environment in a way that can make others far more aware of themselves and their belief systems.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A rose bush. Many buds, but no flowers.” This symbol may seem frustrating, but it is only a matter of time until the roses bloom. The fact that there are many buds is promising. One needs only to meet the bush’s needs – water it, protect it from frost, etc. – to bring the blooms forth. This degree is about nurturing the self by figuring out what will make it thrive and grow. The man of the Omega Symbol walks into the pages of the novel because he must need what the the novel’s story has to offer. The stories we tell ourselves and the stories we are drawn to are reflections of our own story, and are a key to what it is we need to fulfill ourselves.
We cannot manipulate the rose bush into blooming, and there is no need to try to make happen what will occur effortlessly anyway. The secret of success for this degree is to meet the needs of the moment, which is the best way to create an optimal future. And to listen carefully to the stories we’re telling ourselves.

Pleiadian Symbol: An alchemist conversing with his chemicals and equipment.

Servants giving a woman a bath. (Chandra Symbol). Giving and receiving, we contribute to the full blossoming of love.

Fulfillment degree: Virgo 12. To test her fears a woman takes a walk alone at night in a grave yard. (Omega Symbol). Through entering imaginatively into other worlds that reflect our desires, we there encounter also our fears – and this happens so that we have the opportunity to heal them.

A dog sniffing a dead animal. (Chandra Symbol). Anticipation of whatever is blossoming in our life always leads to a greater awareness of what is passing away from us.

Word follows word but he was following the echoes of words as well, which moved in many directions, including paths that cut across the established orders. He could have become another character, but preferred to be just an observer, for he liked the novel as is, and feared losing it into another. Which means that none of the characters saw him, or at least pretended not to, as they moved through their own worlds and landscapes.

He realized that this way of reading seemed to produce greater whispering, as if the words were talking in their sleep, and which grew louder and clearer as he wandered back and forth, avoiding the end so as to savor longer his own delicious inventions seeping into the author’s.

Leo 19. A painting is cleaned, revealing colors of otherworldly beauty. (Omega Symbol) Manifesting/Responsible

(Degree Angel: Eyael (AY-ya-EL) Great Expectations, Transformation to the Sublime)

You are working always to clean away the overlays to your being – the parts that aren’t really you, so that your authentic self can emerge. This can be a gradual process, and even when you think it is complete, you may find more layers to remove that can reveal even more brightness to your being. Your example helps others to express themselves more is a way that is more truthful to their spiritual core.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A humming bird feeding at a trumpet vine.” The humming bird needs very its very particular food if it is to survive. And the painting, too, needs a specialist if it is to be revealed in all its glory. This degree is about needs, and defining them exactly and clearly. It is a degree completely opposed to the generic and pre-packaged. It is a deep respecter and supporter of the integrity and subtlety of individuality. The result of its inspired and visionary actions is that the world becomes a brighter place, and this world is brought more into alignment with the fairy realms.

Pleiadian Symbol: Revelers on a river raft floating to the ocean.

Azoth Symbol: All her life a woman sees mountains in the distance to which she has never gone.

The burning of a bough of sage. (Chandra symbol). Finding that which most perfectly fulfills our needs we find the strength to clear our environment of all disharmonious and stagnating energies.

Those of a past era found the colors of the masterpiece too otherworldly, too disturbing of their own version of how the world should look. In these instances, when colors speak in uncanny ways, or reveal what they should have been hiding, it becomes necessary to protect ourselves with overpainting, so that the hues of normality may defend us from the tortuous ticklings experienced by the eye when inundated with the shimmerings of desire.

And then centuries later, when a yearning arises to look deeper, and we begin to feel at last the suffocations of the average, the masterpiece is taken to the laboratory and a layer carefully removed. And there we find underneath, happily, the humdrum has actually served to preserve the sublime’s true colors.

Leo 20. An herb which, if over-consumed, causes one to die of laughter. (Omega Symbol) Manifesting/Inspired

(Degree Angel: Habuhiah (he-bU-hee-YAH) Contacting Departed Souls, Healing)

Humor is fiery and as such has the ability to warm and thaw frozen attitudes and situations so they can flow. But humor, like fire, can be dangerous, and so its important to use it sparingly and to ignite it in the right place and the right time carefully. The person who carries this degree has the power to do this, and knows one of the deepest secrets: the transmutational power of laughter.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A black pearl hidden in an oyster.” This degree is about coming into the realization of who you really are. If you fear not knowing your true self, and ma ke up a false self in an attempt to please others or fit in to the world around you, you will not be happy for long, for the knowledge that something priceless is missing will follow you no matter where you go. It may not be easy to find what you’re looking for – there may be long periods of uncertainty, or feelings of being lost or abandoned. But no other quest is worth anything until this one is fulfilled.

Pleiadian Symbol: Men and women in feathered bird costumes dancing in a circle.

Azoth Symbol: A gentle wise man attempting to resolve a conflict.

Seed degree: Scorpio 23. A man repairing damaged inlays of precious stones on the Taj Mahal. (Omega Symbol). We find that keeping alive the brightness of beauty and ideals cannot be accomplished unless we are willing to lose ourselves in all-consuming joy.

Fulfillment degree: Scorpio 12.A woman with a collection of rocks shaped like hearts. (Omega Symbol). Freely giving ourselves over to joy we learn where the areas of hardness are concealed in our heart.

A young man with a frail body but a beautiful and noble face. (Chandra Symbol). Finding our unique inner beauty and wisdom we allow it to suffuse our identity with its light and seek out ways to focus it in the physical world as a tangible manifestation.

Humor, like fire, loves to feed and spread, the difference between humor and fire being that whereas fire destroys what it touches, humor merely deflates what is overly gaseous, and/or serves to disentangle colors from both themselves and shadows.

Saffron, an herb which catalyzes humor, (and is therefore a most efficacious self dispersant), may, in large quantities reveal itself as a funny poison, so that, if used indiscriminately, will generate a laughter storm of such intensity that certain dances locked deep within the inner fires are suddenly released, and, fleeing through the physical form, destroy it through gay abandonment, much in the same way that winds will at times inadvertently shatter a rainbow.
