Scorpio 30

Water normally rests below earth, drawn downward by gravity. Here it hovers above. Will the rain fall, or will it pass elsewhere? If it does not fall now, another rain will come later. When clouds dim the brightness of the Sun—symbol of the conscious mind—feeling becomes clearer, because rational thought is less present to explain, justify, or soften what is sensed.

This is an ominous image, yet what it heralds may be profoundly fertile, for rain opens seeds and allows growth. Like all final degrees of a sign, this one is intricate and multilayered. Many energies are felt at once; much is anticipated, yet nothing is known for certain. There is a deep knowing that nothing is ever exactly what it seems—and may even be entirely what it does not seem to be. When second-guessing ceases, and feelings of foreboding are recognized as projections, there is freedom to enter fully into the creative instability of the moment and to move inspiratively with whatever unfolds.
